DTI FB Series Milling Machines
The FB series is designed for machining:
- railway and tramway turnouts
- rails and switch components
- high-hardness elements
FB milling machines are equipped with special angular heads designed by us, which are able to maintain over 5000 Nm torque during each operation. The FB series is prepared for an ISO 60 tool taper.

Comprehensive solutions for machining wheelsets
DTi offers complete solutions for the production and machining of railway wheelsets, including plant design and dedicated machine tools.
Production Plant Design
We have experience in designing complete wheel set production departments. The project includes activities such as:
- development of the hall based on the technological process and work ergonomics,
- development of complete technology (including processing – starting from raw elements, through assembly of components and final assembly, to all required measurements, including non-destructive testing),
- development of internal transport rules, including dedicated devices for lifting details at various stages of production,
- all necessary stations for assembly of components and tests,
- preparation of technical specifications for all devices.
Machine tools for machining railway wheels
We also offer specialized machine tools for machining railway wheels, rims and axles, on which you can perform the following operations:
- wheel and rim profile turning,
- turning the wheel hole and rim,
- comprehensive machining of the railway axle, including turning, drilling, threading and burnishing,
- boring a hole in the wheel for the railway axle.
